A Doorstopper at over pages, the book is an incomprehensible mishmash of flat and uninteresting characters, a nonexistent story, plot holes big enough to drive a truck through, a number of story elements that simply make no sense, an overly long amount of time dedicated to ogling the main character's body (despite claims that the book lacks.

The Evil League of Evil story was my favorite and the only story I actually thought was good instead of just ok or bad/5(5). THE HORRIBLE DUMMY AND OTHER STORIES. The best thing about the book was that I managed to finish it. But this is probably due to the fact that I veeeeery rarely put books aside. 'Others' was not a rewarding read - it was to much of a mix-up of good things and horrible things (in the literary sense). But the bad sides prevailed - to many cliches, to many mundane monologues /5.

The Horrible Cousins has a blog-style format, while others vary between first and third person narratives. Many of the resourceful girls are passionate about causes – Layla in Raising Ella about whales; Rosie about native animals in Lame Duck Protest; Stella.

This was a true horror story - the story of Summer's late night abduction and her storage in a house with 3 other women. They try to survive and hide around the man who's held them.

He names them flowers, demanding they shake off who they were and become who they wants them to be/5. A good night's sleep is essential for keeping our minds and bodies strong.

But the one story that really disturbs me and leaves me feeling emptiness and despair for he character is the story of Tamar, who was raped by her brother Amnon. You can read about it. The tone of the book made it seem like it was a friend telling me stories from their horrible day at work.
